CREATIVE DIRECTOR – RIRI RIZA
Riri Riza is an established Indonesian screenwriter and director. His work ranges between box office hits and art-house fare and has been screened at prestigious film festivals such as Berlinale, Tokyo, Busan, and Rotterdam, receiving numerous international awards.
Riri Riza served as both screenwriter and director for the film “Gie,”. He dedicated nearly two years to developing the screenplay which chronicles the journey of Soe Hok Gie, a Chinese-Indonesian activist in the 1950s and 60s, later published as “Catatan Seorang Demonstran”, including extensive research and interviews with those who knew Soe Hok Gie.
He is now in preparation for his upcoming film Rangga & Cinta, the rebirth of Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?, coming to cinemas in 2025.
